Bitter almond oil is extracted from the bitter almonds of Prunus amygdalus var. amara. Known for its enchanting fragrance and toning properties, it is often used in cosmetics to perfume the skin or hair. However, unlike sweet almond oil, it contains compounds that must be handled with care.
